Jaylen Brown's been catching a lot of heat over the last few days.
It started when the Boston Celtics lost Game 7 to the Philadelphia 76ers at home on Saturday, blowing their 3-1 series lead in stunning fashion. Brown played a part in their collapse with a minus-57 plus/minus over the final three games, all Celtics losses.
Brown didn't do himself any favors by calling out the referees and Joel Embiid after the game, trying to blame others rather than taking accountability. He also weirdly called this season his "favorite year" of his career, apparently forgetting 2024 happened.
The media and fans have pounced on Brown's polarizing comments, tearing him to shreds over the last two days. On Tuesday afternoon, he finally responded to his haters with a strongly worded message.
"Click bait is like flopping for the media exaggerating contact yall be safe out here," Brown wrote on X.
Based on what he said about Embiid and NBA referees, Brown clearly still has flopping on his mind.
The offseason is not off to a good start for Brown. The controversy from his comments will die down soon, but the best thing he can do is get to work in the gym this summer and shut his haters up next year on the court.
