Philadelphia Eagles star Jalen Hurts is not a top-10 quarterback in the NFL, according to ESPN’s annual survey of league executives, coaches and scouts.

Hurts, the Super Bowl LIX champion and MVP, was listed way outside the top 10 in ESPN’s survey, which was published on Monday morning.

In last year’s edition, coming off that Super Bowl title, Hurts was listed at No. 9. Now, after an up-and-down season, he’s all the way down at No. 17.

Here is ESPN’s top 10, in order.

1. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills

2. Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs

3. Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams

4. Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals

5. Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens

6. Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys

7. Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers

8. Drake Maye, New England Patriots

9. Jared Goff, Detroit Lions

10. Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears

Then, ESPN listed seven quarterbacks in the “honorable mention” section. In order, those QBs were the Seahawks’ Sam Darnold, Commanders’ Jayden Daniels, Packers’ Jordan Love, 49ers’ Brock Purdy, Buccaneers’ Baker Mayfield, Jaguars’ Trevor Lawrence and Hurts.

The Broncos’ Bo Nix, Colts’ Daniel Jones and Texans’ C.J. Stroud were in the “also receiving votes” category.

While the league is seemingly down on Hurts, the quote about the Eagles’ franchise QB from an anonymous AFC coach was positive: “I know it has been up-and-down, but I’m still betting on the Super Bowl credentials, the intangibles and the toughness.”

Hurts faces an important 2026 season. With new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion, there’s reason to believe this will be a bounce-back campaign for the 27-year-old.

Hurts will have to do it without A.J. Brown, his top target over the last four years.

But with DeVonta Smith, Makai Lemon, Dallas Goedert and Co. catching passes and Saquon Barkley in the backfield, Hurts should have enough firepower to impress this season.

Whether or not Hurts, who’s under contract through 2028, gets another deal next offseason could be decided by how well he plays in 2026 — and if he proves his doubters wrong.
