I love that snow and miserable conditions are ruining Dallas being able to host the SuperBowl this year.. Everyone is complaining from Dallas/Ft Worth/Arlington.. And to top it off its a GB/Pitt SuperBowl that pisses Jerry Jones off.. Im not sure if this could any worse for them/better for us.. HA HA HA and oh ya HA!

I've been saying it's the worst superbowl ever, I hate the yellow teams. Now with this weather, fans don't even want to leave their hotels. It was too cold for me to walk to Starbucks this morning (1/2 mile), I ended up driving to go get my crack. It's way colder there.

I hope the superbowl is just as bad, like the first half of the probowl bad. Don't even care which team gets blown out but I want one to fall fast and hard.

To be fair, this storm is so big that there is hardly anywhere in the country where it wouldn't have impacted the Super Bowl.

Still, I like to think it is karma that this monster storm showed itself during the Dallas SB.

Compared to Texas, you are right, but there are problems with each of these cities as well. How's the weather in San Diego today? That is the only place in the country that might have a shot at pleasnt weather this week.

Phoenix

For the out-of-towners, Phoenix is not a pleasant place today either. Sure, it isn't 7 degrees and snowing, but the wind is nasty and I wouldn't want to be outside at Super Bowl festivities today any more than if I was in Dallas.

The Phoenix Open is this weekend. Should be interesting to see the attendance if the cold front holds out.

LA

Probably has no shot at hosting until they get a real team.

Miami

Just got done hosting. I think the NFL said they need major stadium improvements if they ever want to do it again.

I think Dallas will be alright but the NFL will eventually pay the price for giving the Superbowl to cold weather cities. Its going to Indy and then New York. Imagine if they have a weather system like the one back east right now during superbowl week or on Superbowl Sunday. Its going to be a lot of chaos. I look forward to it. As long as the actual game gets played I will enjoy all the carnival/showcase crap getting ruined. Takes away from the game.

Try shoveling threw 1/4 in ice then 8 inches that sits atop 1/2 of more ice. Cant get my car door open and slipped trying to do that crap. This day sucks!!

The weather here in Dallas is terrible for us "warm weather" Texans!!! 2 inches of ice everywhere & below zero yesterday & this morning with the wind chill...brrrrrr didn't even the leave the house yesterday. Business' must have lost plenty of $$$ the last few days counting on Super Bowl sales. Our beer deliveries to all the local establishments aren't going to arrive on time. I do agree the big game should be in warmer areas of the country.

The Super Bowl should be played in one of five cities - Sandy Eggo, Phoenix (Glendale), New Orleans, Tampa or Miami.

I talk to many national people on the phone day to day and as they lament the recent weather, I look out my window and its absolute perfection in Fort Lauderdale. Its all by chance though. Few years back when it was Bears/Colts here in Miami, it was rainy and overcast.

And yes I was thinking the EXACT same thing Gee. :D

The fact that you consider rainy and overcast horrible weather makes me hate you just a little bit.

Maybe a little bit of schadenfreude because it's the Cowboys stadium. But honestly, I think it's fine that Dallas is hosting, and I'll think it's fine when New York hosts, and any other NFL city. I don't care about the Super Bowl festivities: if the Cards aren't in it I pay less attention these two weeks than any other two weeks between training camp and the conference championships. And if there's a snow game, it's all the more interesting.

Which is why I hope the Gates of Hell open underneath the field Sunday, sucking down both teams and Jerry Jones.

A major reason the Cotton Bowl has been relegated to 2nd class status. Like to froze to death at the Texas Tennessee game one year.

But for those who are gloating it is supposed to be 50+ and sunshine Saturday and Sunday and the PGA just canceled the Pro Am at the PHX Open today because the Golf Course is frozen. I'll never forget the PGA having to cancel a Champions Tour event in PHX one April because of snow!

78 degrees in Austin last Saturday. 22 degrees today. Snow maybe tomorrow. 60 degrees and Sunshine by Sunday. Gotta love Texas weather.

I hear that. Did the ice on my driveway last night. Put salt on after and this morning got up at 6am and shoveled off the snow. At least my street has been plowed 3 times so getting stuck in this stuff is not an issue.

This afternoon took my niece to Art Hill to go sledding but it the snow on the hill was packed down and very slippery. PLus I froze there so we did not stay very long.
