Marcus Ericsson has been one of the biggest names of the 2026 NTT IndyCar Series silly season process. With Andretti Global looking for more success, Ericsson has been on the hot seat in the No. 28 car. However, could the 2022 Indianapolis 500 winner stay with the organization?

Ericsson appears to have done enough during the 2026 IndyCar season to earn at least one more year with Andretti, as reported by FOX Sports' Bob Pockrass. The remaining question is whether the driver of the No. 28 car would look elsewhere if there is an opportunity for a long-term contract, according to Pockrass.

Following the weekend at Nashville Superspeedway, Ericsson sits ninth in the standings, which is second of three Andretti drivers. The Andretti driver's performance over the last month has put him in a better spot. Now, Ericsson could return to Andretti if he doesn't find a long-term deal with another organization.
