Marcus Ericsson is going nowhere for the 2027 NTT IndyCar Series season. On Thursday, Andretti Global announced that Ericsson will drive the No. 28 car for the organization during the 2027 IndyCar campaign. The driver of the No. 28 car will be joined by Will Power and Kyle Kirkwood at Andretti next year.
Ericsson was one of the biggest IndyCar drivers on the hot seat during the 2026 season. However, the organization decided to bring him back after some strong performances in the summer. Instead of going elsewhere, Ericsson will stay at Andretti during the 2027 IndyCar season.
The 2022 Indianapolis 500 winner will return for another campaign with hopes of returning to victory lane. Ericsson's time at Andretti hasn't been as smooth as Chip Ganassi Racing; however, he will be back in the No. 28 car looking to prove why he deserves the ride in 2027.
