this is legitimately one of the worst seasons I have endured. We do not get many opportunities where there is legitimate optimism heading onto a season. Most of the time, it's blind loyalism and squinting at the rosters we've had to try and find something that gives hope. Not since the year after the SB, and the year after the Carson run have I felt that we could truly build off of the prior season. That's how few and far between that hope springs eternal for us. I trusted Gannon and co., yet this regime sold us a bill of goods with all of the hubristic nonsense they pushed that we were poised to take the next step. I believed this coach to be a snake oil salesman from the day he was hired yet I really tried to be fair and give him an opportunity to back up the slick talk. For our season to be over before the bye is straight up egregious and reminiscent of some of the worst efforts we've put up in our "storied" history. Most of the time I accept my season being over early as part of the deal of being a Cardinals fan, but I am utterly furious at what all of us have had to endure this season. When I log on to this site, I just frown. I'm so angry, that I don't even want to watch football anymore because I'm just reminded that we are so infinitely behind 3/4ths of the league, that it's literally a waste of time and breath. I'll never be one of those "I quit ASFN" people because without you all sharing my misery I'd have to be committed to a mental asylum here in Philly. I have nobody else but you guys to complain to so mark this as mine for the year. Paint me disgusted.

It certainly has been the cheap Bidwills but the current problem is also staying too long with QB Murray. Bidwill, Keim and KK took a gamble on picking Murray with the first pick in the draft and the current leadership team (Monit and JG) has ben 100% committed to him. I was too for a while but I'm totally with Harry that it is time to move him. Brisset has showed us in the last two games the difference in our offense. It is actually fun to watch again. I don't know if we should get rid of Monti and Gannon in the off season. That is debatable for sure but Kyler is not the answer at qb.

I honestly thought we were moving in the right direction this off-season. Reality is we are the same old terrible franchise we’ve been for years. I have zero faith in the front office or coaching staff. There are very few players on this team that give me any hope…McBride being about it for me.

Fair take — cost of living’s tough everywhere. I just meant that with billions in family wealth, Bidwill could invest more without any real sacrifice. I do see progress; rebuilding takes time and depth. The 4th-quarter struggles show how close they are. To be fair, he’s spent on Murray and a few big moves — we just want that commitment team-wide.

This team is still better than last year's team. However, the mystery box potential of Walter Nolan, Darius Robinson and MHJ has not propelled us beyond "better than last year". The Titans loss has also cast a huge stank over everything; 3-4 feels very different from 2-5.

I really can’t see an improvement. We are fast approaching a top 5 pick in a lousy QB year pretty much a guarantee of continued futility.

We got blown out twice last year at the same point. Last year the Seahawks blew us out twice. This year they are worlds better and we still would have won if the last offensive possession had taken an extra 20 seconds. Sure last year we got a 49ers win, but in my mind that had an asterisks. The only reason we won that October 49ers game last year is because their kicker got hurt and they were going for it on 4th down well within field goal range.

Its not enough of an improvement to matter, we're still not good enough to actually beat the good teams consistently.

i dont expect us to pick top 5. We will probably beat the Texans and Falcons. Odds are we will steal two wins against better teams in tight games, then there will be the annual game where Kyler plays like a top 5 QB, then theres always a chance we get a team ravaged by injuries like the week 18 49ers last year.

As far as personal enjoyment, I've actually enjoyed watching all the games this season. Even the Titans game, that felt like I was watching something historic.

It seems weird that you cropped out our 31-point win over the playoff-bound LA Rams from that screenshot.

Also, while a 10-point loss to the Seahawks is decisive, I wouldn’t define our 16-6 loss as a “blowout.”

We’re a handful of plays from being 7-0, but we’re also a handful of plays from being 0-7. That’s the random nature of one-score game results.

We’re not a good team because we can’t put bad teams like the titans and Saints away (maybe the Panthers are good but I doubt it). We’re not a bad team because we hung tough against the Colts and Packers. We’re a mid team producing mid results. Unsurprisingly we’re 17th in DVOA right now.

Our luck probably reverts to the mean over the rest of the season and we go, like, 5-5.
