Today is officially the first day QB Aaron Rodgers, on Injured Reserve with a broken collarbone, can practice. But the #Packers don’t practice today, so don’t be surprised to see him out there tomorrow. Still two weeks and many hurdles before he can play.

#Packers coach Mike McCarthy was consistent that it's a medical decision on Aaron Rodgers. This has been their stance all along, despite how incredible Rodgers has looked in practice and how bad he wants to play. It's simply about how the bone has healed and the risk.

Seemed weird at the time that they could just place him on the IR after being out of playoff contention. Turns out you can't. By the letter of the rule, Aaron Rodgers is a free agent. But Goodell doesn't have the cajoles to do it. Now if it was Tom Brady and the Patriots, walking papers.
