And with that, the NCAA Tournament is upon us. Conference tournaments will wrap up this afternoon, punching the final few automatic bids to the big dance. However, as we know by now, the field is largely already set. The committee will be watching to finalize the final few details of the bracket, which will be revealed this evening live on CBS.

Questions to be answered in the SEC

The Southeastern Conference will be a massive factor this afternoon, sorting out a crowded bubble. The league has a handful of teams that will be sweating out Selection Sunday, with the conference potentially putting as many as 12 teams in the tournament. A surging Oklahoma team has forced their way into the conversation, while Texas, Missouri and Auburn try to hang on.

Those four will be up against the likes of Miami (OH), Santa Clara, UCF, NC State, SMU, San Diego State and New Mexico.

At the top, will Florida hang on to a No. 1 seed after an ugly loss to Vanderbilt on Saturday in the SEC Tournament? The Gators snapped a long win streak after trailing the Commodores by 15+ for much of the day. They’ll likely be saved by Iowa State, UConn and Houston all taking losses over the weekend as well.

For Tennessee, a No. 5 or No. 6 seed is likely. The Volunteers struggled with an injury to Nate Ament down the stretch, managing a high ankle sprain over the last two weeks. Ament returned on Thursday against Auburn, but ran out of steam on Friday against Vanderbilt.

Now it’s full steam ahead to the NCAA Tournament. The Volunteers are +2200 to make their first ever Final Four, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. Tennessee is a long shot +10,000 to win the National Championship. We’ll find out their path tonight when the bracket is officially revealed.
