Selection Sunday is here, which means we are just days away from the beginning of March Madness! After the Big Ten Tournament Championship this afternoon, the men’s bracket for this year’s NCAA Tournament will officially be revealed. The women’s bracket will also be unveiled a couple hours later.

The Michigan men are largely believed to be a 1-seed in this year’s tournament, along with the Duke Blue Devils and the Arizona Wildcats, but in which order will they be announced? Historically, while the seed may be the same, the higher you are in the category, the more power you have — both with choosing which sites you go to and the level of competition that is in your region.

As for the Michigan women’s team, after making it to the semifinals of the Big Ten Tournament, head coach Kim Barnes Arico and her squad are expected to be a 2- or 3-seed. It will be interesting to see where they officially end up and who they will host in the first round of the tournament at Crisler Center.
