Two weeks ago, the Oregon Ducks and UCLA Bruins met for a highly anticipated weekend series in Los Angeles with a lot of bragging rights on the line. Tempers raised, and things got heated between the two, with Oregon giving the Bruins their first conference loss in 27 games, and almost taking the weekend series before an 8th-inning grand slam changed things for UCLA.
Now, we get a rematch, and this time, there will be more than bragging rights on the line.
This time, in Omaha, the Ducks and Bruins are playing for the Big Ten Championship. If you are wondering how to watch the action live, you have come to the right place.
After Oregon slugged its way through a Saturday doubleheader, beating the Washington Huskies 9-4, and then the Nebraska Cornhuskers 8-0, this rematch was set in stone. UCLA used a walk-off home run to sneak past the USC Trojans, getting into the championship game.
At this point, a win would certainly seal the Ducks' position as a host team for the NCAA Tournament, and there's a decent chance that they already have that locked up by making it to the conference title game.
Miles Gosztola will get the ball for the Ducks with the conference championship on the line. He turned in one of his best outings of the season against UCLA two weeks ago, tallying a season-high nine strikeouts and allowing just two runs over 5 ⅓ innings on the mound.
UCLA will roll with Landon Stump to start the game. The Ducks tagged the junior pitcher for a run earlier this season and ran him from the game after just 2 ⅔ innings.
