With draft day finally here for the 2025 WNBA Draft, the top women's college basketball players across the nation will descend upon The Shed in Manhattan's Hudson Yards neighborhood of New York City to hopefully hear their name called as one of 38 selections.
Iowa women’s basketball star guard Lucy Olsen hopes to see her name called. ESPN listed her as the No. 18 overall draft prospect and the No. 5 shooting guard, which could conceivably see her land somewhere in the late-second or third round.
During her lone season in Iowa City, she averaged 17.9 points per game on 43.6% from the floor, 36% from long range, and 74.4% from the stripe in 32 games played with the Hawkeyes. Olsen also averaged a team-leading 5.1 assists, 3.6 rebounds, 1.3 steals, and 0.3 blocks per game.
