If you have the Athletic this is a great read into why the Rams drafts are always so good. It was really disheartening reading this and then reading about how one of the main things our staff values is how well we connect with a prospect during an interview/the senior bowl performances.

Ownership, front office, coaching, facilities. There is a reason the other teams in the division are always competing for the division/wildcard and that happens like once a decade for us.

The break down is

Owner - 4th in division
GM - 3rd/4th in division (someone may want to debate Lynch)
HC - 3rd/4th in division (someone may want to debate McDonald)
QB - 3rd/4th in division (the offensive production gap is there, probably reasonable to debate Purdy/Jones combo)

The Cardinals are not going to consistently be competitive until some of these things change.

It's why I would offer Kyler and two 1sts to Cincy at the end of the season. I would probably also swap Kyler for Stroud straight up and even be willing to throw in a sweetener. None of those things would prohibit me from drafting a QB either (other than Burrow), but it might be in round 2 or 3 tho.

I am also keeping Brissett as QB 2/3.

The other hope is that Canales or McDaniel are available to be your OC and move on from Petzing. Not sure how Gannon will respond to that.

You've got a better shot at flipping Kyler for JJ McCarthy and something else.

The problem is Cards media truly feels that JG has Drew Terrell next in line (whether Petzing is hired elsewhere or fired)

I hope he isnt so stubborn/prideful.

I doubt the Bengals would make the trade but the Cardinals have to offer.

This organization is a dumpster fire across the board. We’re not asking players to move to Cleveland (no offense) or Buffalo (no offense). Arizona is a hotbed for professional athletes in their offseasons. Players WANT to live here. Yet we have a lame duck owner who doesn’t prioritize winning.

Aside from being a pure thought exercise... is there ANY hint whatsoever that the Bengals would be willing to trade Burrow or the Texans C.J. Stroud?!? Might as well inquire about Mahomes and Josh Allen, too!
