How do Jersey sizes work?

I am going to buy this Cardinals jersey and all it says is that is a size 52, what size would that equate to? XL, XXL??

I don't know about authentics, but I've seen replicas at the Cardinals team shop. That's where I got my wife's Emmitt jersey.

Unless you are in Cherry Hill. I believe they still use the Philadelphia Standard of Weights and Measures.
