Two weeks ago against Capital, Wyatt Hoffman logged more than 320 yards and scored five times.
As brilliant as the sophomore quarterback was in that game, Hoffman was even more impressive in Shelton on Friday.
He tallied 456 total yards and scored six total touchdowns to lead W.F. West to a 55-25 win over Shelton.
With Hoffman leading the way, the Bearcats amassed 588 total yards and 30 first downs.
"I liked everything," W.F. West coach Dan Hill said with a laugh. "We threw the ball very well, and we ran the ball very well tonight. Any time you have almost 600 yards, you're doing things right."
On defense, W.F. West limited Shelton to just seven first-half points while the offense built the lead, and though the Highclimbers were able to score more often in the second half, Hill was pleased with the overall performance.
"Our guys played hard," Hill said. "They battle and fight. We're getting better defensively every week. For being outsized, I thought our guys stepped up and played hard."
Hoffman finished with 385 yards through the air, 147 of which went to Connor Coleman, who also caught a touchdown as part of his seven-catch day.
Holden Kunz scored on three of his five receptions and tallied 85 yards, and Miles Martin finished with 120 total yards (62 receiving, 58 rushing) and scored a touchdown. Jay Bieker finished with 55 rushing yards on six attempts, and Jalen Amoroso hauled in four passes for 74 yards.
The Bearcats (3-1) will return home looking for their fourth win in a row next Friday, Oct. 3, when they host Aberdeen.
