The Pe Ell-Willapa Valley football team won its league opener on Friday, topping Raymond-South Bend 41-8.
Lucas Lusk opened the scoring with two first-quarter touchdowns, Spud Swogger added a touchdown in the second, and Eddie Clements scored on a 90-yard scoop-and-score to make it 27-0 before halftime.
Blane King scored twice in the third, once on a 30-yard run, and another on a 55-yard catch from Brody Ritzman.
Lusk finished with 166 yards and his pair of scores on the ground, while King finished with 139 yards and his two touchdowns.
Clements recovered two fumbles, including the touchdown return, and had seven tackles, while Tyler Frazier forced a fumble, and John Hamilton tallied nine tackles.
"They fight like crazy," PWV coach John Peterson said. "It doesn't matter what the score is. They fought all night tonight. I'm really happy for our kids, and I'm really proud of them."
The Titans (4-1, 1-0 C2BL West) will host Ilwaco in Menlo next Friday, Oct. 10.
