SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The Lake View Maidens were no match for the Liberty Patriots on Friday, Feb 13 (Video courtesy of Brian Cunningham).
The Lake View Maidens soccer team entered its matchup Friday night with a 5-5-2 overall record, seeking its fifth win in the last six games. The visiting Liberty Patriots however, had other plans.
Liberty set the tone early with a first half goal to lead 1-0, and Lake View couldn’t capitalize on a scoring opportunity shortly before halftime. The second half however, was all visitors. Liberty cruised to a 5-0 win to hand the Maidens their second straight loss after their previous four-game winning streak. Lake View has now been outscored 8-0 in its last two games.
The Maidens look to bounce back Tuesday night when they host Snyder.
