It's starting to look like there might not be any head coach openings left for Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Vance Joseph in the coming weeks.
Four teams — the Las Vegas Raiders, Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns and Buffalo Bills — have HC positions still open, but Joseph does not seem to be the favorite for any of those jobs. He's already had first-round interviews with the Raiders and Cardinals, but there's been no word yet on any second-round interviews. There also haven't been any reports of Cleveland or Buffalo pursuing Joseph following Denver's playoff exit.
Joseph was believed to be a strong candidate for Arizona, but the club "appears to be shifting towards wanting an offensive-background coach," according to KUSA-TV's Mike Klis. Las Vegas is also likely consider quarterback-friendly coaches given that they hold the No. 1 overall pick in the draft (welcome to the Raiders, Fernando Mendoza).
Elsewhere on the coaching front, the Bills announced Monday that they completed an initial head coach interview with Broncos offensive pass game coordinator and quarterbacks coach Davis Webb. After that, Webb had an in-person interview with Las Vegas on Monday evening, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Webb previously had a virtual interview with the Raiders before Denver was knocked out of the postseason.
So, as of the time of publication, it's looking like Joseph might remain with the Broncos. Webb, on the other hand, remains in contention for at least two of the NFL's four HC openings.
