You are 100% correct. Let's kick him to the curb and start over from scratch like we have always done because that has always worked wonders, right?

Or we can do something we never do and see if the result is any different. What a concept.

Yeah! Let’s keep the guy who’s been a disaster for the better part of three years in the hope that the 4th year is magically and complete different from everything we’ve seen before it.

That is quite a concept!

I swear, the Cards could serve some of y’all a literal ish-sandwich on a plate and your only response would be “Can I get mine peanuts next time?”

Not saying it will work but the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
You mean like giving a bad head coach FOUR bites at the apple after he’s already failed miserably 3 times?

Instead of advocating for the “we need to give obvious failures even more time to prove they’re failures” plan, how about we advocate for the team actually going out and FINALLY spending what it takes to get the cream of the crop football minds to make decisions and hire coaches instead of bargain basement shopping at the GM/Coach level?

Now THAT would be quite a concept and actual change.

He’s a HC with a defensive background. His defense has been atrocious. So, what does he really bring? You can’t blame Kyler on this one. Gannon’s speciality is HIS defense & what he has brung is an awful defense.

Who do you think should be our coach? Who is going to miraculously turn this ship around?

When we have a good head coach, we should generally stick with them for more than 3 to 4 years. But if a head coach is mediocre let alone bad, then we shouldn't stick with them for more than 3 to 4 years and in some instances we should stick with them for a much smaller time than that. The Cardinals head coaches in the 2000s have been mediocre to bad except for Bruce Arians.
Gannon was expected to win with Murray. Bidwill realizes that was impossible. Bidwill realizes this was not fair to Gannon and only giving one more year. Doubtful any HC can win under circumstances next year. Firing Gannon after this season only makes working for Bidwill less attractive because perception owner doesnt back his employees if convenient to do what the mob ignorant of inner workings wants. The terrible draft picks and personnel decisions makes this HC job not very attractive. Another coordinator hire and a new learning curve starts again. No successful experienced NFL HC will take the job.

can I get your email address? There’s a prince in Nigeria who needs some money. It seems the Kyler scapegoat Bidwill plan is already working on a few of you.

People - by my count of Gannon’s 15 wins 12 have come with Kyler starting. As mediocre as a record as Kyler has produced in his career, you take him away and Gannon is historically Bad News Bears level bad.

Whiz won 4 playoff games & took us to a SB, so you have to add him to the list of good coaches we’ve had. Granted, the NFCW was pathetic during his years with the Cardinals, but he did manage to beat teams like Atlanta, Green Bay, and Philadelphia in the playoffs. The Cardinals set an NFL record for the amount of injuries they had in 2025, so it’s my opinion that Gannon cannot be fully to blame for that. I may end up being wrong, and that’s ok, but I would have him finish out his contract & see how it goes. Having seen the coaching carousel over the decades, wash, rinse, repeat sounds worse to me than keeping him at this juncture. Again, my opinion only.
I respect your view on this PA. If Gannon is retained the entire onus falls on MO. He would have to fill the cupboard with everthing possible to set Gannon up for success. He would have to remove any excuse of failing.

At this point the minimum expectation would be TRIPLE our wins next year. Can that be done with Brissett, a rookie or a FA Qb like Willis?

I don’t trust this organization to really get after it. They move like snails, they’re too conservative and they are bargain hunters. They won’t sign the best O-lineman available in free agency. They’ll sign the 8th best or one coming off an injury or down year.
They won’t bolster the rb room. They will hope ( and try to convince us) that Connor is looking fantastic and Benson is poised for a break out year.

A organization would go out and sign a guy like Breece Hall and if Connor were to return we’d be that much stronger. This would perhaps avoid us depending on Carter or Knight being our starting Rb.

Bottom line whatever they do it won’t be nearly enough to earnestly try to compete.

Gannon is 2-3 this season (13-17 overall) with Murray as the starting quarterback and is currently 1-10 with Brissett as the starting quarterback.

Hell, you can remove Murray from the conversation. Why is Gannon’s defense bad considering he’s from a defensive background?

First year 4 wins
Second year 8 wins, most points scored in our division, third least points allowed in the division ( only 20 points more allowed than the Rams and Seahawks) aspirations and hopes of making a playoff run.
Third year 3 wins. Gannon is a total idiot and doesn’t know what he’s doing.

Maybe we should be looking at why instead of coming to conclusions.

I’ll leave now….

We have the stupidest fan base. Kyler has been out for 2/3rds of the season and they are still like "It's Murray's fault"
Who is saying that?

Most are just done with him and can't wait to see what's going to happen in the post-Murray years.

I can’t believe JG won’t face any consequences for keeping Petzing for 3 years while multiple serious head coaches around the league were making staff changes all season.

Funny, going into this year we were coming off an 8 win season with aspirations of a playoff run.
This year suddenly everybody has become an idiot and should all be fired.

When the 49ers won only 6 games everybody pointed out the outlandish amount of injuries and qb problems.

Nearly half our roster is on IR. We have qb problems. Similar but different I guess.

I’m questioning my sanity.
