A quick look at the ending of the game last night.

Iirc the Oneale inbound was just before these four plays too, that was a huge turnover.

Book has lowkey been playing some good defense, no one will admit it though.

The defense on Ja's game winner is inexcusable, easy catch drive and shot from 10 feet.

Book has been solid defensively. That was a very good defensive possession on Ja. And that hustle block where they had to use a challenge to get the call overturned.

But letting Ja get into the lane with no resistance just can’t happen.

Stinks we were out of timeouts.

Why are we shooting a contested 3 to end the game when we're only down 1? If anything, Book should have shot one of his midrange shot that he had been hitting in the 2nd half but I would have preferred if they had gotten it down low to Williams.

Can we just get it over with and trade or cut richards now? We know he won't be here by march regardless.

Also, this Liver guy is awful. Everything about him screams "SUMMER LEAGUE!". Give Flemming a chance.

I know this is how it always is in the NBA, the vets play early and the young guys gotta "earn" their minutes, but Richards and Livery are just flat out trash, they are "earning" themselves a spot on the bench... or, more precisely, the waiver wire.
quicker we get rid of richards quicker we have to develop maluach so sign me up - the livers high is wearing off as well - but nhd gotta be my biggest damn

I think Book was gassed. He settled for two 3 point bombs on the last two possessions.
The sequence that really hurt the Suns was that timeout they had to force and take because of a poor possession with just over a minute left or so. That left them with one less timeout for that ending.

I want to see Flemming too, but from everything I’ve read he’s not yet ready mentally. Seems he’s got a little imposter syndrome and the team needs to build his confidence that he not only belongs at this level but can actually excel. To put him in before he feels ready could destroy his confidence permanently. I’m okay with patience.

Too easy a look for ja and terrible shot selection for book. I mean, TERRIBLE.

Full disclosure - these four possessions are the only video I’ve seen from the game.

The Suns didn't have a timeout on their last possession.

That D mistake was MW and Allen miscommunication that left Ja open, then Allen was too late. This type of D mistake happens way too often

Better then what 5 years to Book
Why? I get liking Durant, I get not liking Book. But, given their ages and injury history, I don't get any rationalization that makes us better off with Durant being grossly overpaid than Devin being grossly overpaid.

KD is a better one on one player than anyone we have but swapping him for Booker wouldn't make us significantly better now (if at all), yet it would subtract one of our greatest tradable assets. Whatever KD is worth right now, he's going to be worth a lot less in a year or two but barring really bad luck, that won't be true of Booker.

It might be true with Book and everyone wants a PF. Well maybe Durant's not a power but he has the size. It is done and dead but I hated the decision.
