OK, I caught two episodes from last weekend and watched them last night. It's uneven, but I will definitely record/watch it, if only because the visuals and camerawork were really interesting, which is fairly rare for TV, and I do like the concept.

The lead guy is appealing, maybe too much so, and difficulty finding the proper level of 'edginess' seemed the one big overall weakness. The werewolf sidekick isn't sure if he's comic relief or serious, the black detective similarly unclear - although he's a likeable guy -- but that's three for three with no sharp edges, no darkness or depth. Yet one episode was loosely based on The Pied Piper and there was a guy eaten alive by rats -- and shown graphically - hardly family-friendly stuff. So they need to decide what they want to be, but I'll watch and give them time to figure it out.

I'm still watching the show, but at times I wonder why?

Some episodes are good,,,others way below the mark.

I'm thinking some of the guys on the Suns' forum are Wesen :D

I also follow Dracula and The Following.....which could lead me

to believe I'm Wesen also  Maybe I need to get a 'life'?

The show seems to be taking itself too serious as of late IMO. I watched a few episodes and the rest are sitting on my DVR. I will catchup eventually.

Looks like a Grimm reboot is underway at Peacock. Likely a solitary film which could lead to an expanded series.

I am going to have to go back and remind myself how it ended.

Yeah that's awesome.
I am just starting my third attempt at a binge.
It's not bad. Definitely my kinda genre. But every time I try to watch it something comes up...it just hasn't grabbed my interest violently enough to block out distractions.
Hopefully I get through it this time so I can fully appreciate the reboot

We've started this series and the Once Upon a Time series several times each, but the furthest we've gone with either show is the end of the first season. We figure both of those shows are right up our alley yet we drift away after a few episodes and find some other show to binge. No specific complaint about either series, just can't seem to get fully immersed in them.

Once Upon a Time loses steam during the "Frozen" season, which is like season 3 or 4. It's just ok until then, the writing isn't good and some of the leads are terrible actors. Fun to spot all the Lost references though.

successfully finished a complete binge of Grimm.

I like this show. it starts slow but really finds itself around the end of season 2.
the last season had a rushed feel to it. with it being shortened as it was I figure the execs came and told them, " Hey, you have X amount of dollars to finish this season then we are done" or something to that affect.
But they still wrapped it up nicely. it was refreshing to get to see an actual series finale...so few get one these days.
although the end was kinda predictable...I was guessing dream sequence but it wasnt that...it had a strong, "theres no place like home" feeling to the finale.
but for those of you who struggled to get past season one... jump back in, power through the early days...it pays off with a very entertaining series.

That's why I couldn't get into it, then. End of season 2? Yikes.

Yeah, we made it into season 2 once and it was a slog even getting that far. On the surface it seemed to be our kind of show but, for some reason, we never really fell in love with it. We started watching the series at least 5 times and always made it through the first half dozen episodes but it just never gave us much of a reason to continue.

One of my wife and my favorite shows. We have binged it a couple of times now. It does bog down at points but, overall, it is entertaining (at least to me). Monroe, Wu and Bud intersperse some humor that keep it going.

The lore was interesting, but all the "monsters" were basically just people with decent makeup effects. I've seen the whole show, but remember very little of it except for the werewolf that complained all the time.

yeah...it took me the longest to get through the first couple seasons... the last few seasons went by over just a few days.
it just didnt have an identity early...are we scary ot not scary? Violent, or not all that violent,..are we a horror show? are we family friendly or PG13?
but it seemed to solidify after his partner got included and Monroe settled in as a main character instead of an unwilling dupe that he just used on a regular basis.
It kinda settled in right between Walking Dead and Buffy I think.
