The Pittsburgh Pirates suffered a 9-7 loss to the Cincinnati Reds on Saturday.

Pittsburgh entered the ninth inning up 7-6 and with two outs, and two strikes, Gregory Soto threw a fastball that Eugenio Suarez hit over the fence for a three-run home run to put the Reds up.

"Definitely, it's frustrating,” Soto said postgame on Saturday through translator Stephen Morales. “But at the end, that's part of our job. We're gonna continue to go out there and do our job, and it's gonna happen sometimes, but just trying to minimize it.”

Pittsburgh has now blown 17 saves in 34 opportunities, and manager Don Kelly knows the team has to get better.

“We've got to get better in games like that,” Kelly said postgame. “We have to find a way to win them, and that comes in a lot of different ways.”

With the loss, the Pirates fell to 41-42 and will look to avoid being swept by the Reds on Sunday, with first pitch set for 1:35 p.m. ET.

Mitch Keller will take the ball for Pittsburgh, hoping to get the Pirates back on track and remain in playoff contention.
