The Georgia Bulldogs have continued their ascent up the latest NCAA Tournament projections from ESPN's bracketology. Georgia is now projected to be a No. 8 seed in March Madness. The Bulldogs are projected to play No. 9 seed Ohio State in the Greenville Region. The winner of the Georgia-Ohio State game would be expected to play the No. 1 seed Duke Blue Devils.
Other potential opponents for Georgia in March Madness include projected No. 9 seeds Saint Louis, TCU and Texas A&M.
At one point over the weekend, Georgia was considered a No. 7 seed following their historic win over Mississippi State. However, the Miami Hurricanes presumably surpassed Georgia despite ending the season with a loss to the Louisville Cardinals.
Georgia is one of 11 SEC teams projected to make March Madness. The Bulldogs' NCAA Tournament hopes are a steady lock right now. Georgia and coach Mike White should make the tournament for a second straight year regardless of how Georgia performs in the SEC Tournament, which begins Wednesday, March 11.
