ASH GROVE, MO–Nothing good or bad lasts forever. The Ash Grove Pirates are hoping the latter end of that statement finally applies, tonight.
For the last seven years, the Pirates have lost every meeting to their Class 1 District 3 rival, Marionville. Most of the games have been one-sided beatdowns, but last fall, Ash Grove lost 22-20. It was the closest they’ve come in that window.
Now, 364 days later, they fully believe this time around will be different. This time around, they’ve got what it takes to take the lead and hold on to it until the clock hits 0:00.
