'Looks like Torey picked his lineup from a hat.

And anyone of four 1B/DH -- Lamb, Walker, Cron and now Vargas.

Evidently, the Attention Deficit Disorder prevalent in Washington
is the MO of the D-backs.

Imagine the pressure on the batters, knowing that they have 3 or
4 at-bats to get in a groove. No wonder they try to hit every ball
into the seats.

It is a formula for team failure, which we are witnessing. But Torey
just keeps doing it.

Time to say it again. Stupidity is doing the same thing over and
over and expecting different results.

The only game we've won out of the last five is when Torey was
thrown out of the game. We were the last team to win a game.

I wish we didn't have to be critical!

Backs load the bases with 1 out . . . and Walker grounds into a double play.

That sucks!

If they could package Walker and Lamb for one good player
and give, yes, I'll say it again, give Cron a chance at 1B, we
would have some hope.

And, just like that, a 1-out HR for the Pods.

Hey, D-backs, if you're going to "lift", that's
how to do it.

Padres pitcher is having all sorts of control problems. Walker is prone to GIDP. Padres pitcher starts the at-bat out with another ball after walking Escobar. How the hell is Walker not given the take sign on the next pitch, or even two pitches?

Lovullo is a very nice guy, but he is also a major buffoon.

Ahmed, following his first hit of the season, scores on Starling's double to tie the game.

Escobar drives him in. 2-1 D-backs.

Walker strands another runner on base.

I just don't like the body chemistry of Walker or Lamb,
especially at a corner (power) position.

A bunt drives in the tying run for the Padres. Vargas, not accustomed to playing 1B,
blows the out at 1B. Then the bases are loaded.

Then a hit by the Padres gives them a 3-2 lead.

That is another one on Lovullo. He has three first basemen, but starts a backup
middle infielder, Vargas, at 1B because he had a couple of hits.

'Just doesn't see the big picture. Torey makes it so difficult to do the job well.

And now a bases clearing triple. 6-2 San Diego.

Little League managers have more knowledge. No further comment.

From the last 6 games I’ve seen these clowns play, they look like one of the worst teams in the league. Disgusting offense, pitching is also terrible .

Seriously, screw this team. They have so much talent, and they are playing like a team that doesn't want to play. They were out coached and out played by the Padres. From being patient at the plate and not just swinging for home runs every at bat. The pitching was awful. I think going into today's game they had 23 walks.

Particularly where we can have a DH, and if he wanted to utilize Vargas for his bat, he didn't have to play Vargas out of position at first base. Lovullo needs to be canned immediately.

D-back start 1-3, following the 2 blowout exhibition losses at Dodger Stadium.

Torey with an 0-5 start, with the lone victory by his Bench Coach.

The Diamondbacks lost, 6-2. They dropped three of four to the Padres. They looked sloppy, fundamentally unsound and generally not sharp in just about every way at times during the series. Not how they wanted to start the season.
