Feb. 3—Box Score
At Rainier HS
RIVERHAWKS 59, MOUNTAINEERS 51
Toledo 8 17 18 15 — 59
Rainier 16 16 14 5 — 51

Toledo trailed in Rainier at halftime on Monday, but Trevin Gale scored 16 of his 18 points in the second half to lead the Riverhawks to a 59-51 comeback victory.
The Riverhawks trailed by eight after one and by seven at halftime, but Gale hit three three-pointers in the third and added a fourth in the fourth to lead the comeback effort. It's the second straight game that he's scored 10 or more points in the second half of a game.
Gale finished with 18 points, and Adam Kruger also hit four three-pointers en route to a 17-point outing.
"Our guards stepped up big tonight," Toledo coach Grady Fallon said.
Eli Weeks scored 11 points and also added five steals, while Kruger added seven assists, and Cooper Fallon scored seven points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
Peyton Sheaffer led Rainier with 17 points, Jordan Pringle scored 11, and both Ryder Martin and Nehemiah Linson scored nine.
"We played with a lead most of the game and really executed the game plan well," Rainier coach Ben Sheaffer said. "This one stings, but this group will move on and get after it tomorrow at practice like they always do. Toledo's experience showed in the fourth quarter, and we really struggled against their zone."
Rainier (10-10, 8-8 C2BL) will flip a coin with Onalaska to determine if it is the No. 4 or 5 seed from the C2BL entering the district tournament, which starts on Saturday.
Toledo (15-3, 13-2 C2BL) could clinch the No. 2 seed and a bye with a win against Adna on Wednesday. A loss would lead to a coin flip between the Riverhawks and Napavine Tigers for the No. 2 or 3 seed in the upcoming district tournament.
