Rainier led by eight after one but went into the locker room down a point. A 25-point third helped put them back in front, and they added 16 more in the fourth for good measure.
"We came out after halftime with more of a sense of urgency," Rainier coach Ben Sheaffer said. "In the third, we picked up the pace and got some transition buckets which seemed to get us going."
Peyton Sheaffer led Rainier with 21 points, while Jacob Hanson scored 14 and Nehemiah Linson added 13.
Owen Loucks led MWP with 11 points, Michael Biacan added 10, and Liam Pelletier finished with eight.
Both teams will hit the road on Friday, when MWP (1-17, 1-13 C2BL) goes to Napavine and Rainier (9-9, 7-7 C2BL) travels to Winlock.
