Holy ****. Just when it seems there could not possibly be any more sordid twists, it gets worse.

Jerry Sandusky's former daughter-in-law has obtained a legal order barring the ex-Penn State coach from seeing three of his grandchildren.

Jill Jones, who was once married to Matt Sandusky, went to court to stop the accused paedophile from having access to their two daughters, aged nine and seven, and one son, aged five, according to documents.....

No go area: Jill Jones, the ex-wife of Sandusky's adopted son Matt, has an order which prohibits her two daughters and one son from sleeping over at their grandparents' home, pictured
What does she know? Dorothy Sandusky has been married to alleged child rapist Jerry Sandusky since the 1960s and the indictment says abuse took place in their home.....

The news came as it emerged that Matt, one of six now adult children Sandusky and his wife adopted during the course of the lengthy marriage, attempted suicide just four months after first going to live with the couple.

Matt, now 33, came into the Sandusky home through The Second Mile in 1995, after having a troubled childhood in which he had burnt down a barn.

Children and Youth Services placed him with the family at Sandusky's request.

The probation officer, Terry Trude, became concerned about Matt's well-being and mental health and together with his biological mother Debra Long, wrote a letter to Centre County Judge David Grine asking for his living situation to be reviewed, the Patriot-News reported.

However contemporary court records include a letter written by Matt in which he implores the judge to allow him to stay with the family.

'I would like to be placed back with the Sanduskys. I feel that they have supported me even when I have messed up. They are a loving caring group of people. I love both my biological family and the Sandusky family,' he wrote at the time.

Matt is not one of the eight victims in the Grand Jury indictment, but he did testify before the investigative panel at the attorney general’s office in the Strawberry Square complex, Harrisburg, the Patriot-News reported.

Gov. Tom Corbett this summer approved a $3 million state grant to The Second Mile, the charity founded by suspected child molester Jerry Sandusky, despite knowing about the sex abuse investigation that later resulted in charges against Mr. Sandusky.

If I understand correctly, state governors are always on the Penn State board of trustees. It will be interesting to see how far back this goes.

Joe Pa saw all of this coming ...

http://www.thepostgame.com/blog/dish/201111/joepas-real-estate-move-raises-suspicious-eyebrows

Joe Paterno's recent real estate transaction, reported by Mark Viera and Pete Thamel of the New York Times, has led some to speculate he knew his world was going to come crumbling down around him at Penn State. The winningest coach in major college football history quietly transferred complete ownership of his house to his wife for $1 less than four months before the bombshell sex abuse scandal erupted.

Some legal experts believe the move was made to financially shield the Pennsylvania pigskin legend.

The Times uncovered documents that show Paterno, who had joint possession of the home, handed control of his residence over to his wife, Sue Paterno, for a dollar plus "love and affection."

JoePa's home was originally purchased for $58,000 in 1969; the home's fair-market value in 2011 was listed at $594,484.40.

Does anyone know the timeline concerning Paterno's grand jury testimony? It would seem that if the quit claim deed transaction took place post testimony, that would make this quite damning with him conveying assets suspiciously.

IIRC the grand jury testimony was going on around January, some of the intial reporting in march, the home transfer in July and the story breaking in nationally in October
