Jada Richard chose her next school. The former LSU women's basketball point guard committed to Ole Miss, according to multiple confirmed reports on Friday.
The Opelousas, LA native spent two years in Baton Rouge. She played sparingly as a freshman before earning a starting role as a sophomore during the 2025-26 season. She averaged 9.5 points and 3.3 assists per game this year.
Richard's decision to enter the transfer portal in the weeks following LSU's loss to Duke in the Sweet 16 came as a surprise. She was in line to run it back as a junior alongside fellow guards Mikaylah Williams and MiLaysia Fulwiley but she could be in search of a larger role as a scorer.
Head coach Kim Mulkey raved about Richard's offseason transformation coming into the year. She contributed in all facets, particularly as a facilitator and on defense but she developed confidence in her shot.
