Former FSU baseball shortstop Gabe Fraser has found his new school, and he is staying in the ACC. He has committed to the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, announcing the news Thursday on social media.

Fraser emerged as FSU's starting shortstop in his only season in Tallahassee, hitting .303 with one home run and 11 RBI in 119 at-bats. He started 27 games for the Seminoles and had a .432 on-base percentage and a .403 slugging percentage.

The Huntington Beach, California, native had five doubles and two triples, scoring 24 runs with 36 hits. He stole six bases, getting caught twice. He made 10 errors in the field, finishing with a .915 fielding percentage.

Fraser will have three seasons of eligibility at Wake Forest, his third school in three seasons after he started his career with the Arkansas Razorbacks. The 6-foot-2, 190-pounder has plenty of talent, but still needs to put it together after showing flashes in the field and at the plate for the Seminoles.

FSU swept Wake Forest this season, outscoring them 24-6 on the road. The Seminoles now lead the all-time series 101-40. Fraser did not play in any of the three games.

The Seminoles have seemingly addressed shortstop already this offseason, landing a commitment from former Indiana Hoosier Cooper Malamazian. A two-year starter, He is a career .310 hitter with eight home runs, 27 doubles, 76 RBI, and a .391 on-base percentage.
