The New York Jets are signing former Atlanta Falcons kicker Younghoe Koo to their roster, according to NFL reporter Connor Hughes. Koo spent the majority of his career in Atlanta but was released early in the 2025 season after a crucial missed kick against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The life of an NFL kicker is a week-to-week experience, and Koo perfectly embodies this. He was a consistent and clutch performer for the majority of his six-plus years in Atlanta. However, Koo struggled over his final two seasons as he dealt with a leg injury.

The New York Giants signed Koo in the middle of the 2025 NFL season. The 31-year-old appeared in five games for the Giants, making four out of six field-goal attempts and 11 out of 12 extra points.

Koo was waived by New York in December and later tried out for the New Orleans Saints at their rookie minicamp. Now, Koo gets to have another chance in New York, this time with the Jets.

Koo converted 178 of 205 field-goal attempts and 166 of 173 extra-point attempts over 89 starts with the Falcons from 2019-2025. Hopefully, the former Pro Bowl kicker can find his footing again with the Jets.

Coincidentally, the Falcons signed former Jets kicker Nick Folk to replace Zane Gonzalez over the offseason.
