Former Colorado starting safety Carter Stoutmire has found his new home, committing to Arkansas Friday morning, according to CBS Sports Matt Zenitz.
Stoutmire played in and started eight games in 2025, missing four games due to injury. He finished the season with 38 total tackles, five pass breakups, two quarterback hurries and a forced fumble. According to Pro Football Focus, he was the Buffaloes' highest-graded run defender, earning a 90.4 grade.
The 5-foot-11, 210-pound safety has started games at free safety, slot corner and strong safety during his three seasons at Colorado.
Soutmire is heading to the Razorbacks, hoping to start in the SEC as he wraps up his collegiate career with one season of eligibility remaining.
The Buffaloes lost both starting safeties (Stoutmire and Tawfiq Byard) but have added plenty of safety reinforcements, including Naeten Mitchell (New Mexico State), Boo Carter (Tennessee), Randon Fontenette (Vanderbilt) and Jaydan Hardy (Oklahoma).
