The Colorado Buffaloes continue to add as the January transfer portal window winds down. With their second commitment of the day, the Buffs landed Oklahoma transfer safety Jaydan Hardy, their 35th portal addition.
The experienced safety played in 26 games over the last two seasons, playing both safety positions. In 2025, Hardy racked up 11 total tackles, one forced fumble and an interception. He played a total of 221 defensive snaps during his two seasons in Norman.
Hardy becomes the Buffs' seventh defensive back and fourth safety addition. 247Sports rated Hardy as a four-star recruit in the class of 2024 and a top-200 overall player. He'll come to Boulder with two seasons of eligibility remaining.
Perhaps the most notable aspect of Hardy's commitment is his ties to head coach Deion Sanders. His father, Darryl, played with Sanders in the NFL with the Atlanta Falcons and Dallas Cowboys. They were teammates on the Cowboys' 1995 Super Bowl-winning team.
With Colorado having both of its starting safeties depart (Carter Stoutmire, Tawfiq Byard), Hardy figures to get a chance to claim one of those spots during spring ball.
