I lose this bet to my wife everytime! Is there a rule of thumb when determining whether a song is Foreigner or Journey, it's like I have double vision. The non-mainstream songs are what trip me up. I swear, I'm as cold as ice!!

I've resorted to just doing the opposite of what my gut tells me and I'm still wrong. Help, I'm willing to sacrifice!

I had to take out the trash like 4 times this week thanks to stupid Journey. I hate you Journey!

I wanna know what love is, and I want someone to show me!!!!

Did you have stars in your eyes when you were taking out the garbage?

Sorry Ryan but these two bands sound nothing alike whatsoever.

Foreigner and Kansas perhaps?

;)

You would sully the good name of the greatest prog-pop band in history? Not even close, man. Nobody has ever air-soloed to "Waiting for a Girl Like You," but "Carry On My Wayward Son" inspires rednecks and city folk alike to pick up their imaginary Les Paul and wail.

Foreigner = no soul.

Whoa... easy Gadd... I am not at all suggesting that Foreigner and Kansas are in the same league! I believe the theme there was do they sound similar...

FWIW - I would take Kansas over Foreigner all day long...

I thought this was going to be a grammar thread somehow.

I thought this was going to be a "which to you prefer" thread and I was going to go ape-poop on anyone who chose Foreigner (which, in this case isn't a matter of opinion, it's scientific fact that Journey is the far superior band).

Carry on.

Geeze, having a differing opinion on this board is a deadly sin.

Some things are too important. ;)

It's all good, Ryan. You're younger and haven't yet developed superior musical sensibilities like us old folk.

Ryan as Todd Sucherman (current Styx drummer) exclaims in his DVD "It's art it's subjective." Some people like Kansas, some others like Journey, some like Cheap Trick & The Dead Kennedys! As long as you like it who cares who did it? For you prog fans Neal Morse former Spock's Beard is regrouping with Trans Atlantic featuring Mike Portnoy on drums. Also the bearded ones are trying to do what Marillion did to record a new disc!! www.spocksbeard.com
