Just not sold on the kid....yet. Not sure exactly why. But today, he made an incredibly stupid play after a catch where he had the first down, but chose to run backward and then fumbled! Thankfully he got his own fumble, otherwise it would've been ugly...
Maybe I expect too much from the kid... But man, he just seems so underwhelming to me at this stage.

That was a strange play. I was wondering why he ran backwards when he could have got the first down.

Not sold on him this year. He is not making a difference like he should be

He's been killing my fantasy teams lately. I went with him over Mike Evans today in one league and over Boldin in another. He needs to step up, and I mean that for the Cardinals, not me.

Although that would be a nice bonus.:)

Short term memories we have as fans sometimes. Fitz was replaceable to start the season when Floyd was getting the catches and yards. Now teams are focusing more on Floyd and Fitz is getting the fantasy points. Throw Smokey and Juke in there and guess what, every week one or two of our skill players isn't going to shine. Smokey didn't do anything today but he's not getting called out. Okay Floyd is in year 3 and so Smokey gets the rookie excuse but the point remains not all of our 3 top WR's are going to have monster games every week. Ginn and Jaron both had big plays today and Juke takes receptions away from the WR's as well.

Floyd was crappy last week and made a mistake on the RAC where he lost the 1st down but I'm thrilled he is on the team.

I don't know, but I think he knows a lot is expected from him and he might just be pushing too hard. Needs to just calm down and play. I think he'll be fine.

IIRC, he's had one decent game all year... I don't know... My eyes tell me he's been more disappointing than not thus far this season. And it's not at all because teams are paying more attention to him and less on Fitz...

He had two 100 yard games in the first 3 games. He has had too many games where he has done nothing but I'm not too worried. Carson has been spreading the ball around, he will get his.

I would say he has had (statistically at least) 4 decent games (2 over 100 yards and 2 games with 47 and a TD). He has had 3 games with 1 or fewer catches (which were horrible), but this game wasn't all that bad with the exception of the play that he lost yards after the catch.

Going to say the same thing. Everyone was praising him recently and then now he is a dud. I wouldn't call him a dud at all. He has had some bad games, but by no means is he a dud. We know what we have with Floyd the way he has played in the past. He is just not playing the way we know he can right now.

The one that has been disappointing has been Carlson imho. He has dropped a lot of passes this year.

Give the guy a break, without him this team would have lost more than one game this year... geeez!

Good to see others agree with me that Floyd will be fine. This Offense has not been a juggernaut this season and that can't be laid at Floyd's feet. The O is doing enough to get the Wins but they aren't blowing teams up and getting a ton of points. The interior Oline, GP missing 3 games and how BA calles a game should all be listed as reasons why before we blame Floyd. Heck, add in the inconsistent interior Oline play.

Juke, Fitz, Smokey all get a ton of looks. Carlson also has his number called a bunch. Add in Jaron Brown and Ginn and there are soooo many weapons on Offenses it's not surprising none of the WR's are getting consistent big time stats.

Floyd is one of those almost players. He will have some outstanding games and other games where he disappears. You have to question if he was worth spending a 1st round draft choice on yet he sometimes plays like one. He almost breaks through to the top of the heap almost elite yet not quite. He almost becomes your #1 receiver yet doesn't quite get there. He is almost your most consistent receiver yet doesn't quite reach that status. Your glad he's on the team yet he disappoints at times.

As I said the last time this came up, he will get his. Arians calls his game on matchups, and lately Floyd has been getting the hard end of those - which has helped Fitz break out in the last couple games. Defenses will adjust again and he will have another monster game. Of course, if this team can get it's offense firing on all cylinders - they haven't even come close yet - then the numbers will creep up as well. Everyone else's drops are hurting him in that other players aren't drawing attention away from him as well. We all know Palmer LOVES to go to him as well.

This too shall pass.

It has been a very strange year for all offensive players/weapons this year. Fantasy is like a crapshoot, with WRs being at the top. It seems most teams don't really have a top receiver per se. Throw in the huge number of injuries and picking a fantasy lineup leaves you scratching your head every week. I seem to leave a 20 point player on my bench every week in favor of someone who gives me a goose egg. I was forced to play Floyd, Brown, along with Garcon on one PPR team and only got a total of 10 points from all of them. Allen Hurns of Jax would have got me 27 points all by himself.

I have come to the conclusion this week that it is easier to pick a top player from a bad team who has poor secondary players, than pick a great player who is surrounded by other really good players who take away from his scoring.

I should have traded Floyd, Brown, and Fitzgerald from all my teams following each of their big scoring weeks. They are useless in Fantasy because they all keep sharing the spotlight from week to week. Same with the Pats, Chargers, Redskins, Niners, Texans WRs. Even at RB the same is happening. I had Mckinnon starting for the Vikes this week, and instead of letting him score they let Asiata come in off the bench and score 3 TDs. The Cards did that to Ellington 2 weeks ago.

It has been a crazy year for fantasy. I have one team where I drafted early on just RBs and got 3 of the top 10 or so. All 3 were out do to injury and couldn't play during the same weeks. If you have not been at the top of choosing off the FA list, you are dead this year. I seem to have lost all my top FA picks to other teams in all my leagues this year.

Oh well, it is just fantasy.

Back to the real world..........Floyd should be due for a big game soon. I think it is his turn.
