It has been a very strange year for all offensive players/weapons this year. Fantasy is like a crapshoot, with WRs being at the top. It seems most teams don't really have a top receiver per se. Throw in the huge number of injuries and picking a fantasy lineup leaves you scratching your head every week. I seem to leave a 20 point player on my bench every week in favor of someone who gives me a goose egg. I was forced to play Floyd, Brown, along with Garcon on one PPR team and only got a total of 10 points from all of them. Allen Hurns of Jax would have got me 27 points all by himself.
I have come to the conclusion this week that it is easier to pick a top player from a bad team who has poor secondary players, than pick a great player who is surrounded by other really good players who take away from his scoring.
I should have traded Floyd, Brown, and Fitzgerald from all my teams following each of their big scoring weeks. They are useless in Fantasy because they all keep sharing the spotlight from week to week. Same with the Pats, Chargers, Redskins, Niners, Texans WRs. Even at RB the same is happening. I had Mckinnon starting for the Vikes this week, and instead of letting him score they let Asiata come in off the bench and score 3 TDs. The Cards did that to Ellington 2 weeks ago.
It has been a crazy year for fantasy. I have one team where I drafted early on just RBs and got 3 of the top 10 or so. All 3 were out do to injury and couldn't play during the same weeks. If you have not been at the top of choosing off the FA list, you are dead this year. I seem to have lost all my top FA picks to other teams in all my leagues this year.
Oh well, it is just fantasy.
Back to the real world..........Floyd should be due for a big game soon. I think it is his turn.
