Former New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs signed with the Washington Commanders earlier this week. Now, he has arrived at training camp wearing a new number. The number was revealed in a video posted by the team's official social media account on Friday.
The playmaker will wear No. 18, as he looks to be a solid addition to the Commanders' offense. He is coming off a major bounce-back season in New England, where he hauled in 85 receptions for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns. The four-time Pro Bowl wideout is going from one talented young quarterback in Drake Maye to another in Commanders starting quarterback Jayden Daniels.
He is expected to serve as one of the top receiving targets across from Terry McLaurin.
One has to wonder how much Diggs has left in the tank.
If last season was any indication, it would seem as if he has more than the typical 32-year-old receiver. Throw in the fact that he is returning to play for his hometown team, and that should be more than enough motivation to fuel his success in 2026.
