It’s not the scheme though guys
xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media

And both of those guys are on teams that haven't won a game yet. Go figure!

You could also say that Odunze and Nabers each have more yards than all of the Eagles WRs combined. Yet the Eagles are undefeated.

I don't care if they have Kyler throw the ball to the waterborne, as long we are scoring and winning. With that said, I hope we can figure something out that allow our WRs to have success.

We have won despite this offense against bad teams.

This offense doesn't prioritize the greatest weapon in the game.

Chunk Plays

We have too few and 9-12 play TD drives aren't somthing you build around but that is what the 2 Condom Offense is banking on.

Thankfully the Whiners are also a terrible 2 win team which we should beat but it will be close. Then we will face the Seahawks and I promise you they will eat our lunch again. Especially now that teams have figured out how to stop this run game.

The time old debate of petzing vs Kyler is one I hope ends in both of them being replaced if we don’t make playoffs this year.

At least petzing used to field a good oline/run game. Now that we don’t have that even- yikes. I know JG is a big fan- but if we miss out on the playoffs yet again, I think even he will see the writing on the wall and that something needs to change
Have to agree with this. After last season, Petzing was getting some league-wide praise as an innovative and up-and-coming OC. Now that the Cowboys poached Klayton Adams, in a small sample size, the Cardinals O looks punchless both in the air and on the ground, and Klayton Adams is getting notice for his impact on the Cowboys' O, e.g. Jourdan Rodrigue's "What we learned from the Cowboys - Giants game" in The Athletic yesterday:
Rodrigue: I’ll bravely admit it: I am pleasantly surprised by this Cowboys team under Brian Schottenheimer so far in this young season. I am, of course, operating under the premise that teams will move the ball and score points on this Dallas defense (especially minus a certain future Hall of Fame do-it-all defender). Still, bearing that in mind, this team is feisty. Whether it’s an emerging run game led by smart scheme (Klayton Adams’ impact is quite clear already in his first year as offensive coordinator) and a reborn Javonte Williams — who had another good day with 97 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries — or Dak Prescott and a solid cast around him knowing they need to score a lot, I think I’ll enjoy watching this team in 2025, all the more so if their games keep coming down to the wire.

Odunze’s QB sucks, too. Everybody has noted that Nabers’ QB is washed. Still producing.

At a certain point, you have to look in the mirror when it comes to Marvin. He just might be the Trevor Lawrence of WRs.
Ummmm....Russ was dropping bombs on Sunday 50+ yards down field...and Nabers knows how to properly use his speed and leverage to split the double team. He really looks infinitely more polished than MHJ. He tracks the ball and goes for it aggressively.

Are we going to ignore that MHJ has run TWO deep, vertical routes this season and one resulted in a 45 yard catch and the other a 38 yard int?

Tell me why you wouldn't attempt more of that?

meanwhile Nabers...in one game

If you run it you need a QB who will stay in the pocket, and most likely take a hit to deliver the ball. We don't have that.

Where did I say that? I was mainly commenting on Russ being washed. He clearly is not. Also, what I said about Nabers is true. He's more polished than Marv at this point and know how to be more aggressive.

I doubt anyone on this board has the ability and knowledge to determine which of these two WRs is more “polished “. I know a lot about football and I know I can’t.

What is going to get really interesting is what the offense looks like if the run game isn't successful vs nickel packages. That is the first herald of the end of times for the season.
Teams are already running cover 2 against us knowing we don't have a vertical passing game.

Just a reminder we haven't played a good team yet.

I can tell you for a fact Nabers is way more aggressive against coverage than Marv.
Polished is such a mush term. I don't even know what that means.

the number of 2nd and 7+ yards to go after a first down run has been discouraging.

Im frankly surprised they have scored as much as they have given that. Last year in games like that -- it was 9, 12 points for a game

At least if the Cards are 3-0 they're winning the games they are supposed to win. Whether they win more than 3 games the rest of the season after week 3 is another story. But 3-0 is 3-0. Meanwhile, there's teams like da Bears who are 0-2 after winning the off season with nonstop hype. I'd rather fly under the radar with room for improvement after going 3-0. The Seattle game is going to be a big test. Their D looks pretty decent and the Cards defense needs more big plays. They need to harass Darnold and pick him off to have any chance. Murray will likely be running for his life week 4 too.

I agree with this but it is a bit of a chicken/egg situation IMO. It's easy to be aggressive when you know that aggressiveness is going to get you the ball. When you using your best moves and the ball isn't coming to you, you tend to hold back, saving your best moves for key moments.

Wait, what happened to game 3? We already play it? With the team we have, and the scares we've had the first two games, how can you possibly be talking game 4?:?:

I said it was winnable. I didn't guarantee a win. Just that it is a game they could win. Geez, excuse the heck out of me for trying to discuss the game.

Agree completely.. although the betting world feels we should lose this weekend as the 49ers are slight favorites now

a factor in the lack of passing productivity thus far this season has been that the Cards have been leading by 2 scores for like 6 of the 8 quarters they have played.

this staff will sit on a two score lead: run the ball / safe passes and play bend but dont break defense.

We will see what happens when an opposing offense presses them more
