Lovin the Jackson Generals this year. Yoan Lopez looking strong, healthy, and nasty. Could probably close for the Dbacks at sometime this year if he stays healthy.

Reno Aces are starting a true major league lineup today. This team could win some MLB series if they kept the uh um unready relievers off the field. Shipley and Clark looking good so far.

Does anyone know another story line on all the top pitching prospects that aren't yet with a team??

I know, 7-day DL, but Ryan Atkinson,Jon Duplantier,Cody Reed, Jose Almonte, all on the DL?? Are they running some kind of special training for this group? Just seems kinda odd.

I'm really enjoying having MiLB TV this year. We have some seriously talented players in our system. Screw the rankings!

Sure, I brag up the Aces and they totally STB. Tomorrow's another day. Clark looked like a different person today. Wow! What a debacle.

Taylor Clarke’s time could be coming – Reno right-hander Taylor Clarke got two starts for the Aces over the past week. The first was not great, not bad; Clarke went 5.0 innings and yielded six hits and two earned runs in a 3-1 loss to Tacoma. But Saturday against El Paso, the 25-year-old was on. Clarke allowed just two hits and one earned run (on a solo HR) over 7.0 innings while striking out nine in a 2-1 win. With the Diamondbacks’ rotation issues still lingering, Clarke might be a candidate for spot starting duty in the big leagues with the Kris Medlen and Troy Scribner experiments failing to pay dividends.

They need to keep Duplantier. Corbin is gone after this season and ARZ is going to pinching pennies this offseason.

Diamondbacks' Pavin Smith: Hitting .216 for Visalia
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire
Smith is slashing .216/.332/.359 with five home runs and two stolen bases across 196 plate appearances for High-A Visalia this season.

Smith, the Diamondbacks' top overall selection in the 2017 first-year player draft, has been a disappointment thus far in his first taste of full-season ball. Though he has supplied two of his home runs in the last three games, Smith's .143 ISO for the season is still well below the threshold organizations typically look for from corner-infield prospects. While Smith's hit tool and excellent plate discipline more so than his power were the main draws when he came out of the University of Virginia, a .225 BABIP has mostly undermined the strengths of his batting profile. For all his struggles, the 22-year-old remains one of the top hitting prospects in the organization, but his standing in dynasty formats has probably dropped from where it was in the spring.

Minor MLB Transactions: 6/1/18
The D-backs acquired infielder Tyler Ladendorf from the Blue Jays in exchange for cash, Baseball America’s Matt Eddy reports. A second-round pick of the Twins back in 2007, Ladendorf eventually reached the Majors with the A’s but hit just .123/.149/.154 in 68 plate appearances. Ladendorf appeared in just two games with the Jays’ Triple-A affiliate and went hitless in six plate appearances, but he’s a career .256/.324/.347 hitter in parts of eight Triple-A seasons.

Diamondbacks' Jon Duplantier: Battling biceps injury
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire
Duplantier is dealing with biceps tendinitis and will be shut down for a week, Zach Buchanan of The Athletic Arizona reports.

Duplantier last pitched on May 27 and currently owns a strong 2.52 ERA over 35.2 innings with Double-A Jackson this season. He'll miss at least one turn through the rotation at the very least.

Diamondbacks' Troy Scribner: Hits Triple-A disabled list
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire
Scribner was placed on Triple-A Reno's 7-day disabled list Friday with right shoulder inflammation.

Scribner made a spot start for the big club May 12 when the Diamondbacks, but was optioned back to the minors after giving up two runs on four hits and six walks in 3.2 innings. The right-hander has maintained an underwhelming 5.11 ERA and 1.25 WHIP across 44 innings with Reno this season and seems unlikely to receive another look with Arizona even once the shoulder issue is behind him.

D-backs Farm Rumblings: Reno’s Taylor Clarke continues his roll
Another gem from Clarke – Reno right-hander Taylor Clarke is, quite simply, in a zone. Clarke pitched five scoreless innings while allowing just three hits and two walks in a 6-1 win over Salt Lake Monday. The 25-year-old has earned wins in four straight starts and is now 6-5 on the season. Over those last four outings, Clarke has a 1.59 ERA with 29 strikeouts and six walks in 22.2 innings of work.

Diamondbacks' Jon Duplantier: To resume throwing
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire
Duplantier (biceps) will attempt to throw Monday, Zach Buchanan of The Athletic Arizona reports.

Duplantier has been shut down from throwing for the past week while attempting to recover from biceps tendinitis. Prior to suffering the injury, he'd made seven starts this season for Double-A Jackson, accruing a 2.52 ERA and 1.14 WHIP with 41 strikeouts across 35.2 innings.
