I mean, Philly makes a mean sandwich. I would love to get down on a fish hoagie. Then a Roast Pork from Dinics, or the Italian from Salumeria (RIP). But full disclosure, I think a cheesesteak is the most overrated sandwich of all time.
Amen. Primanti's beats Cheesesteaks hands down :)

One of the best meals I’ve ever had were mussels and pasta a Casey Moore’s Oyster House in Tempe. As a PHX native I was also skeptical of seafood, but let’s not throw the baby out with the bathwater here.

And honestly, picking a greatest sandwich EVER is a fools errand. If youre not eating ALL the sandwiches, youre doing it wrong. Lets talk about Fried Oyster Banh Mi next.

Schutd, HARD disagree, but I'm not mad at you for that. Hoagies and Cheesesteaks are like breathing to Philadelphians, but a Cheesesteak as good as it is, has to be one of the most basic things ever. Steak and cheese plus whatever else you like on it. If you're talking the best steaks in Philly, there's honestly not THAT much of a difference between the best places. At least a hoagie has much more room for customization and can vary GREATLY between shops. Good choice btw on the Roast Pork.....With the sharp provolone and broccoli rabe????? SHEEEEZZZZZ!

Never had a Banh Mi. Which is CRAZY because there are a plethora of places here that do it up big.

The Distraction podcast has regular sandwich rundowns, especially when Rohan Nankarni is on.

I’m extremely here for good sandwich recommendations especially in the SEV. Many of my favorite spots have gone or moved out of reach (Sack’s forever). Lee’s Sandwiches is also the GOAT.

RIP Even Stevens

If you like Italian beef, Luke's of Chicago is the best. Get the beef with a side of gravy and fries, will change your life.

In the words of Warren Zevon, spoken to David Letterman as he talked about his life after he was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer, "Enjoy every sandwich."

Miracle Mile Deli had some awesome hot pastrami sandwiches.

perhaps a nostalgic pick -- the old Park Central location even in the 90s had an old school feel to it

My dad worked within walking distance of Park Central Mall back in the day. Visited Miracle Mile many times.

Maybe it’s because I’m older now but the new location just doesn’t hit the same. Still way good though. Parking sucks.

Stout, the one time I had Primanti's my friend brought it DOWN to me so I had to reheat. I probably should enjoy that fresh off the grill to really get the enjoyment out of it. Good sammich, but won't make me forget Dalessandro's here in the 215 anytime soon.
