Falcons hiring new assistant general manager

According to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Atlanta Falcons are adding Jeff Scott to their front office as the team's new assistant general manager. The former Eagles vice president of football operations spent the last five years working in Philadelphia.

"The Atlanta Falcons are set to hire Jeff Scott as their Assistant GM, per source," wrote Schefter. "Scott has worked across various departments within scouting and football operations, most recently with the Eagles. Scott also has been a participant in the NFL’s Accelerator Program."

Prior to his five-year stint with the Eagles (2021-2025). Scott spent 12 years working with Washington, starting as a salary cap intern in 2012. He worked his way up to be the team's director of pro scouting in 2020 before leaving to become a senior pro scout for the Ealges.

A native of Fredericksburg, VA, Scott graduated with a bachelor's degree in political science from Davidson College, where he played defensive back. During his sophomore year in 2005, he led the Pioneer Football League in fumbles forced. Scott received his master's degree in sports management from Georgetown University in 2012. - PhiladelphiaEagles.com

The Falcons hired Matt Ryan as the team's president of football and later added Ian Cunningham as general manager. Scott will work under Ryan and Cunningham in Atlanta's front office.
