Yesterdays game showed the importance of getting some of the cardinals youth signed to extensions.

Byron Murphy and MArquise Brown seem to be ( in no order ) priority #1 and #2. But Zack Allen needs to be in the long term plans as well.

I figure Zack Allen takes over for Watt when he leaves and Hollywood for Hopkins when he leaves.

But the way Murphy played on defense yesterday I wonder if he becomes priority number uno for the team to resign .

What say you?

Definitely Allen and Hollywood must be signed
Btw i don't like that Dortch hasn't been more involved
About Murphy im not his biggest fan, i like when he playd deep in coverage, near the line of scrimmage, but i don't like him very much on the outside covering 1vs1
Is a nickel back or safety, i won't overpay for a nickel back and there is not cap room for a safety

Byron Murphy is good..it is hard to find good CBs. Byron does not need to be great to be extended.

If Murphy and Allen have any sense at all they will be going the way of Kirk, saying all the right things about how they would like to stay in AZ and then finding the fastest route out of town.

Murphy, Allen or vice-versa. They picked up Hollywood's fifth-year option and thus have a bit of time.
Order of operations is probably extend Brown to free up money right away, extend Murphy and Allen after so you can spread out there cap hits a bit and eat some this year if you need to. I think it just provides more options that way.

Realistically, that is a lot of bonus money to pay out shortly after Kyler, DJ, and Jalen all got new deals with bonus money. It depends what you think Bidwill's cash reserves are. Does he have an additional 80 mil on hand?

Frankly speaking, Murphy has no real reason to sign an extension right now other than for injury risk. As someone else said, he is likely the #1 CB in FA right now so he may demand top 10 money to forgo FA with his current level of play. Plan should just be to franchise tag him at this point in time.
