Several industry sources have told me that Ketel Marte will not be traded to any other team. I've also been told that there are currently no issues between Ketel and the D-backs, and that some of the stories circulating on social media are simply not true.As for the game in which he did not play against Ohtani, Marte was dealing with general body soreness, so there is nothing to be concerned about. I just read on ESPN where the dbacks signed Max Kepler to a contract even though he is serving an 80 game suspension for doping? Am I reading that right? It says he's 33 years old. Not real good stats that I can tell. I am out of the country so it's translating from Spanish to English.
Why in the world would they sign somebody like that?

This is not an MiLB deal.
His base salary is the league minimum ($780k), it will be prorated.
He can earn $500k in roster bonuses.
He can start an MiLB assignment tomorrow. He is eligible to play June 25 vs. St. Louis.
