PHILADELPHIA – Two days after one Exeter High School girls track relay team won a national title at the New Balance Nationals Outdoors Championship, another nearly followed suit on Sunday, June 21.
The foursome of Bri Paterna, Martelle McBride, Izzie Bremer and Lexi Paterna placed fourth in the championship girls distance medley relay with a time of 11 minutes, 39.31 seconds to earn All-American honors.
Riley Lynch, Anna McGaffin, Courtney Krawiecki and Leyla Bhusri of Shenendehowa (N.Y.) won the event in 11:31.69.
Leg distances and splits for Exeter were Bri Paterna (1,200 meters, 3:35.03), Martelle McBride (400, 53.72), Izzie Bremer (800, 2:16.05) and Lexi Paterna (1,600, 4:54.51).
