BOSTON - Lexi Paterna and the Exeter High School girls track team continued its winter dominance on Saturday, Feb. 28 at the New England Track and Field Championship meet at the Reggie Lewis Center.

Paterna won the 3,000 meters in a time of 10 minutes, 33.38 seconds, and then teamed up with sister, Bri, and Izzy Bremer and Eli Cross to win the New England title in the 4x800-meter relay in a school-record time of 9:06.83. This broke their own record-time of 9:15.17 set last year.

Exeter's other two relay teams - the 4x200 and 4x400 - also established school records at the meet.

The 4x200 team of Avery Carrigan, Emma Roeder, Riley Benevides, and Martelle McBride placed 11th out of 34 teams in a school-record time of 1:47.59.

The 4x400 relay team of McBride, Roeder, Madie Poteet and Bremer placed seventh out of 26 teams in a time of 4:03.60.

EXETER - Evan Couture had a goal and one assist for Exeter in its Division I loss at Phillips Exeter Academy. Ronan Wilbur also scored for the Blue Hawks, while Teddy Farnham, Sean Haugh and Tate LoPriore all had one assist.

Exeter goalie Trent Fujitani had 23 saves.

EXETER - Goalie Mike Caponigro had 22 saves for Winnacunnet in its Division I loss at Phillips Exeter Academy.

WEST LEBANON - Elizabeth Pelletier scored for St. Thomas/WHS/Dover (11-5-2) in its Division I loss at James Campion Arena.

STA/WHS/Dover goalie Aryah Lilly had 44 saves.
