Several former Denver Broncos players popped up on the NFL's transaction wire in recent days.
First, wide receiver Brandon Johnson (6-2, 195 pounds) was cut by the Pittsburgh Steelers last week. He wasn't without an NFL home for long, landing with the Las Vegas Raiders just one year later. Johnson, 27, originally entered the league as an undrafted free agent out of UCF with the Broncos in 2022.
After two years in Denver, Johnson bounced between the Steelers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers before returning to the Broncos during the 2025 NFL playoffs following two injuries at wide receiver. Denver let his practice squad contract expire in February, making Johnson a free agent. Johnson then returned to Pittsburgh, and he has now landed in Las Vegas, reuniting with former Broncos wide receivers coach Zach Azzanni.
Elsewhere on the ex-Denver player front, the San Francisco 49ers brought back running back Sincere McCormick and the Steelers signed wide receiver Joaquin Davis.
