Following their 2025 season, the Denver Broncos allowed the contracts of 10 practice squad players to expire, including wide receiver Kyrese Rowan, making those players free agents.

Rowan (5-10, 185 pounds) wasn't picked up by another NFL team after the Broncos let him go, so he joined the Hamilton Tiger-Cats ahead of the Canadian Football League's 2026 season. Rowan's stint in the CFL ended up being short-lived as he was cut by the Tiger-Cats coming out of training camp.

Rowan is now a free agent once again, available for NFL (or CFL) clubs. He totaled four receptions for 33 yards and one touchdown in two preseason games with Denver last summer but failed to make the 53-man roster. He also didn't make the original practice squad, but returned to the club in October. He was cut from the practice squad in December but re-signed one week later. His practice squad contract with the Broncos expired in February.
