One day after being released by the Pittsburgh Steelers, a veteran wide receiver is returning to the AFC West, where he spent the first two years of his NFL career.

According to KPRC2's Aaron Wilson, former Steelers wide receiver Brandon Johnson is set to sign with the Las Vegas Raiders.

Entering the league as an undrafted free agent in 2022, Johnson began his career with the Denver Broncos and remained there until he was released in August 2024.

After his departure from Denver, Johnson was quickly picked up by the Steelers, leading to his appearance in three games during the 2024 season. He signed a reserve/future contract with the Steelers in January 2025, but was ultimately waived via an injured designation as part of final roster cuts in August.

During the 2025 season, Johnson spent some time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before rejoining the Steelers and Broncos. He once again rejoined Pittsburgh for a third stint in April 2026, but he was recently released when the Steelers picked up punter Aidan Laros.
