Two Tennessee student-athletes set program records Friday at the Arkansas Invitational in Fayetteville, Arkansas and the Vanderbilt Invitational in Nashville, Tennessee.

Esther Joseph and Javonya Valcourt finished first and second, respectively, in the women's 300-meter.

Joseph posted a time of 36.41 seconds, winning the race and breaking the all-time school record and placing eighth on the NCAA all-time list. Valcourt finished second with a time of 36.46, a mark that was a personal best and the ninth fastest time in NCAA history.

At the Vanderbilt Invitational, Vols' junior Carter Knox recorded the fastest time in Tennessee history in the 1,000-meter. He completed the race in 2:22.79, breaking a previous program record of 2:23.38 set by Canaan Anderson in 2025. Knox's time earned him a fifth-place finish in the event.

12 Tennessee athletes recorded indoor personal-best marks Friday.

In addition to Knox, Joseph and Valcourt, Andrew Brown completed the men's 400-meter in 46.72 seconds. Gavin Genisio had his best time in the 1,000-meter (2:24.59).

In the men's long jump, Gade Gray recorded a leap of 7.97 meters, while Justice Jones had an effort of 7.81 meters. In the men's shot put, JL Van Rensburg posted a mark of 19.06 meters.

Skye Tolbert recorded a time of 8.19 seconds in the women's 60-meter hurdles. Endia Smith had a mark of 5.97 meters in the women's long jump and 12.56 meters in the women's triple jump.

In the women's weight throw, Cedricka Williams had a personal best mark as she recorded a throw of 19.39 meters.
