Plenty of Tigers will compete in the final day at the SEC Outdoor Championships, with a list of events set in stone.

On the track there will be tons of athletes to look out for. For the women’s 5,000 meters. Suzy Lecoutre, Kobi Walker, Monica Wanjiku, Allison Newman and Mirriam Chepkirui are set to race. As for the men’s 5,000 meters, Tyler Freiner, Elijah Limo, Drew Rogers, Carter Spradling, Joshua Allison and Joseph Bariola will compete.

These distance runners are more than ready to show off their talent, after proving themselves at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa.

Out on the field, Ames Burton will compete in the women’s discus, while Anna Vedral will compete in the women’s pole vault.

Burton’s personal best was claimed last year at the LSU Battle on the Bayou, with a throw of 54.72 meters. Hopefully, she can come close to this result, or possibly best it.

As for Vedral, she claimed her personal best in 2024 with a mark of 4.00 meters. This year, she reached 3.85 meters twice, once at the SEC Indoor Championships and the other at the Dr. Rick McGuire Invitational. This meet will hopefully give Vedral a chance to possibly best her season record.
