DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) — It might not have been the outcome we wanted, but it was still a season to remember for the Dothan United Dragons and one that deserved to be celebrated accordingly.
Coaches, players, front office members–and so much more gathered on the south side of the Circle City as the Dragons held their end-of-season banquet on Monday, and it was quite the vibe.
Everyone in attendance had a chance to enjoy some refreshments, spend some time with the Dothan United squad, and even take part in a little friendly competition with a $20 payout.
Dothan United also recognized the team’s midfielder, Josh Salas, for coming away with the player of the year award.
The Dragons put up an amazing season in the team’s first year under head coach Ricky Davey, finishing with an overall record of 14 wins, 2 losses, and 2 draws while also coming away with the team’s first-ever divisional title–and if you ask just about everyone in the building, the Dragons should have come away with at least one playoff victory.
Regardless of how everything went down, this team is still appreciative of everything this season brought
